Kirsty has been an OT since 2018, with experience across private, Medicare and NDIS sector, Positive Behaviour Support, aged care, and paediatrics. Her work is now focused on supporting children and families who are navigating sensory processing differences, emotional regulation, and challenging behaviours—with practical, supportive strategies that fit real life.
Kirsty works with children from birth through to the early teen years, with a strong focus on the foundations that impact daily participation: sensory integration, nervous system regulation, and reflex integration. She uses a strengths-based approach to understand the “why” behind behaviour and help families reduce overwhelm at home and school.
A key part of Kirsty’s work is parent coaching. She supports parents to build confidence and clarity by learning how to co-regulate, recognise what their child is communicating through behaviour, and implement strategies consistently. This may include sensory-informed behaviour supports, routines and transitions, environmental changes, and skill-building to support attention, body awareness, emotional regulation, and independence in everyday tasks.
Kirsty also supports families with getting ready for Prep and Prep transitions, helping children build the skills and routines needed for school participation—while supporting parents to navigate this change with a calm, practical plan.
At the heart of Kirsty’s work is helping children feel safe and regulated so they can participate, learn, and thrive—and helping parents feel supported, capable, and connected.
