Kirsty has been an Occupational Therapist since 2018, working in areas like aged care, NDIS Occupational Therapy, and Positive Behaviour Support, Paediatrics. But after having her two kids, she found her true passion—working with babies, children, and families to support their development and daily life.
Kirsty works with kids from birth through to their early teens, helping them build the skills they need to do the things that matter most—whether that’s playing, learning, making friends, or getting through daily routines with more ease. She takes a down-to-earth, family-centred approach, working closely with parents and caregivers to find practical strategies that fit into everyday life. This might include helping with motor skills (like climbing, writing, or using cutlery), emotional regulation, sensory processing, toileting, school readiness, or managing tricky behaviours.
Kirsty is also working towards her accreditation in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) with the Possums Program, which will expand her skills in supporting mums and babies—particularly with breastfeeding, sleep, infant behaviour, and mental health in the first year of life.
At the heart of it all, Kirsty is passionate about helping kids and families feel more confident, capable, and connected. Whether you’re adjusting to life with a new baby, preparing your child for school, or looking for ways to support their growth and independence, she’s here to help every step of the way.
Courtney has been a qualified Occupational Therapist since 2019 and is passionate about helping children and families thrive in everyday life. She works with children from infants to early teens, tailoring each session to their interests and family goals to make therapy engaging and effective. Her focus includes building motor skills, supporting sensory needs, developing emotional regulation, encouraging play and learning, helping children make friends, preparing for school, and promoting independence in daily routines.
Courtney is committed to ongoing learning and professional development. In 2025 she attended the ADHD National Conference, completed the Talking Toileting training series, and undertook Sleep Education with Annie O’Connell. She has also completed additional courses in sensory processing and emotional regulation, and has training in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to support early intervention.
With her warm and approachable style, Courtney helps families feel confident, capable, and connected.
I’m excited to introduce myself to the Affirm OT community! I’m Nate, an Occupational Therapy student with a background in disability support work and allied health assistance. My journey in this field began with hands-on experience supporting people of all ages and abilities, both in their homes, at school and in the community.
I’ve worked across a variety of settings, including during my university placements, where I had the opportunity to develop my skills in both community-based, school-based, hosiptal and mental health settings. Alongside my studies, I’ve been working as a senior disability support worker, which has given me a strong understanding of the NDIS and the importance of personalised, client-focused support.
Outside of work, I’m a big fan of all things Titanic, puzzles, tea, and spending time with my gorgeous (and very attention-seeking) cat, Monkey. I also enjoy fitness and finding new ways to combine fun and functionality in daily life - something that often carries over into my OT practice.
I have a strong interest in mental health, neurodiversity, and supporting people to live as independently and meaningfully as possible. I’m always looking to expand my knowledge through professional development, with recent learning focused on culturally responsive practice and trauma-informed care.
I look forward to potentially working with you and supporting your child to reach their goals in a way that’s empowering, practical, and fun!
See you out there!
